Aarthy Ketheeswaran and Thinesh Kumarakulasingam are a Dating team on the The Amazing Race Canada 7.

After a sub-par first leg, they ran a much stronger race, which included winning 3 legs and staying in the top 3 for most of the race (barring leg 6 when they finished 6th). They looked poised to make it to the finals but ran into trouble right away on leg 9 as a slow taxi cab cost them time pushing them to last. When they got to Thunder Bay, they couldn't catch a break. After losing the Face-Off to Lauren & Joanne, they were set back again when they discovered that the Detour they chose was full and they had to go to the other task. At the cheese cutting and packing Detour, it looked like they had a chance to get ahead of the sisters, but found that nearly half their packages were improperly sealed. Despite their best efforts, the sisters finished first, leaving Aarthy and Thinesh to be eliminated.

Aarthy and Thinesh met while working for the same company, but the attraction definitely wasn’t instant. However they reconnected months later outside of work and they realized they had a lot more in common than they thought. Thinesh and his parents were refugees from Sri Lanka, and Aarthy grew up with parents who were also refugees. Understanding what it means to immigrate, they share a deep appreciation for their lives in Canada. Their parents are the embodiment of hard work and perseverance. This is the driving force that constantly pushes them to succeed in everything they do. Aarthy is brave, feisty and very outspoken, and would go out of her way to help anybody. Thinesh is adventurous, clever, and a problem solver. They are known for epic arguments, but they have a tremendous amount of love for one another and want nothing more than to win this Race as a team.
