The Amazing Race Suomi competition will see political cooperation as Aino-Kaisa Pekonen, Member of Parliament for the Left Alliance, and Silvia Modig, MEP for the same party, join forces. Aino-Kaisa and Silvia became friends in Arkadianmäki in 2011, when both started as MPs. The duo say they were excited about their new job at the time and found support from each other. Today, their friendship runs very deep and Aino-Kaisa describes Silvia as her "lifelong best friend".

The challenges the two MPs face are probably a little different from what the Amazing Race offers them, and they have no travel experience together beyond a single language course. However, Aino-Kaisa and Silvia are going to win the whole race, partly because they complement each other. While Silvia can go from zero to 100 km/h in the blink of an eye, Aino-Kaisa is very calm and deliberate.

Fun fact: Aino-Kaisa describes herself as the rules police. Silvia, on the other hand, is now so timid that she might start crying before jumping on the Ferris wheel.
