Alana Pappas and Niko Pappas are a team of Gen Z Siblings on The Amazing Race Australia 4.
The pair were delayed in getting a cab at the start of the race in Seoul placing them at the bottom of the pack. They made the fatal mistake of going to the wrong location based on an incorrect postcard being focussed on by another team, delaying them by two hours. The setbacks were severe enough to prevent them from partaking in the Roadblock or Detour (due to the challenge sites closing), resulting in their elimination in 11th place on checking in at the mat.

Alana, 21 & Niko, 19
Gen Z Siblings, South Australia
Alana and Niko are ready to bring some sibling rivalry to the race. Close and competitive in equal measure, these Adelaide students are ready show Australia what they've got. Although Alana loves her baby brother, she's known for losing her cool with him quickly. They are the youngest team to race and count on support from the whole Greek community.
Individually they've travelled to many countries including Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Qatar and Spain. They've also travelled to Netherlands and Germany together.
Get to know Alana[]
What's the best part of travelling with your teammate? The best part about travelling with Niko is that we are such good mates and can make any situation fun, by being our weird selves.
Are you a good packer? I am an extremely good packer. My last trip was a month long and I took a little 7 kg backpack. I like using packing cubes to keep everything organised, and only pack essentials pretty much. Cute essentials though.
Get to know Nico[]
What is the biggest challenge or weakness you'll need to overcome? An eating challenge would definitely test me to my absolute limits. I should be able to eat any type of meat, but if it's a weird delicacy or anything spicy count me out – especially if there is a time limit. I would give it a go, however I would be definitely taking my time and drinking lots of water between each bite.
What is one destination that you'd like to tick off your bucket list? I would love to go anywhere in Latin America, but if I had to choose, I would say maybe either Colombia or Cuba. I would say Colombia because it seems like such a fun, vibrant place packed with heaps of culture and fun things to do whereas Cuba would be amazing because it would be so different to anywhere else due to its unique history.
