An alliance is a duo, trio, or group that is loyal to each other in The Amazing Race. The alliance works on taking themselves further into the game through winning competitions and staying safe with each other, often taking out members of the opposite alliance.

These groups can prove to be very dominative and can seize control in a game if they manage to get a majority. Many times, members of an alliance will "defect" in order to increase their placings or if they feel betrayed by members of an alliance.

They appear in different versions of the show like in The Amazing Race (US), Asia, Australia, Canada, and Latin America.
