Aubrey & David

Aubrey Ares and David Hernandez are a team of Ballroom Dancers on The Amazing Race 34.

The ballroom dancers greatly struggled with navigation, which frequently left them racing near the back of the pack until they realized in the seventh leg that Aubrey was better off driving and David at navigating. In spite of their troubles, however, their proficiency with dance challenges and more fatal mistakes from their competitors allowed them to make it to the final four. In a closely-contested penultimate leg between all four teams, Aubrey & David's Race slowly unraveled when they encountered two swimming challenges in which David struggled, which allowed the injured Emily & Molly to catch up and pass them. Unable to complete the task, they took a two-hour penalty, which resulted in their elimination in 4th place.

Aubrey, 29, is a dance studio owner. David, also 29, is a helicopter mechanic. The two met when David took one of Aubrey's dance classes years ago, and it was love at first step. They talk up how well-balanced they are as a pair, with David's patience and Aubrey's passion and leadership as a businesswoman.

Post-Race[]

Aubrey & David got engaged in September 2022.^[2] They got married on November 12, 2023. Aastha & Nina and Derek & Claire were in attendance.^[3]
On May 12, 2024, Aubrey gave birth to her and David's first child, Alayna Marie Hernandez.^[4]

Trivia[]

Aubrey & David were originally alternates for The Amazing Race 34 and were called to compete a few hours before the season started.^[5]
