Michael Justin "Burnie" Burns^[1] and Ashley Jenkins are a team of Dating Gamers on The Amazing Race 28.

Burnie & Ashley proved to be smart, consistent racers, regularly placing near the front of the pack on their way to the final four, including five consecutive second place finishes, while just narrowly missing out on a win most of the time. Although they attributed much of their success to their strategic prowess, they also made strategic blunders in choosing Detour tasks at key points that put them on the brink of elimination. This weakness came up again in the penultimate leg, where they squandered their early lead by choosing a side of the Detour that they would struggle with, forcing them to switch tasks and put them in a battle with Sheri & Cole to avoid last place. Despite finishing the Detour before the mother-son tandem, Burnie & Ashley then ran into heavy traffic on the way to the Pit Stop, which caused them to get out of their taxi early and search for the Pit Stop on foot. The time they lost doing this allowed Sheri & Cole to pass them, resulting in the dating gamers' elimination in 4th place.

What do you hope to accomplish by running The Race (other than winning one million bucks)? We are huge fans of The Race and it's a dream come true to participate.

What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? I've created a place for myself online that enables me to do everything I love the most for a living: keep up to date on geeky interests and share that with others, play video games and talk about them, and learn something new every day.
What scares you most about traveling? The risk of getting stranded in a foreign country without the resources to get myself home.
What excites you most about traveling? Throwing away the box I usually live in and immersing myself in other cultures and ways of life.
Biggest challenge you and your teammate will face on The Race together: Making sure we balance each other's strengths and weaknesses to be the best team we can.
Pet peeve about your teammate: He's better at just about everything than I am, which would be more annoying if I didn't like him so much. Luckily it's us against the world, not us against each other.
What country and place would you most like to visit and why? Bora Bora in French Polynesia—I love water activities and beaches and heat. Add glass bottom huts, drinks with umbrellas, and I'm set.
What do you hope to accomplish by running The Race (other than winning one million bucks)? This is our chance to compete in a huge game that spans the globe, and we want to be the team that plays it best.

Post-Race[]

Burnie & Ashley got engaged on February 26, 2016.^[4] The couple has since married.
In April 2016, Burnie and Ashley, alongside Jon Risinger, started hosting The Amazing Race Special Podcast weekly on Rooster Teeth. On the podcast, they go through and talk about their experience with every leg of the race that they were on.
On March 11, 2019, Ashley announced her pregnancy.^[5] Ashley gave birth to the couple's son on August 25, 2019.^[6]
Burnie appeared in an episode of Geek and Sundry web series Escape! along fellow racers Darius Benson and Korey Kuhl, as well as his fellow Rooster Teeth celebrity Blaine Gibson. They all failed to escape the escape room when the 30 minutes had expired.
In June 2020, Burnie announced his resignation from Rooster Teeth.^[7]
