The order of departure from Eternal Tower are as follows:

Since the previous leg was a No-Rest Leg, teams immediately departed from the Pit Stop to continue racing.

Teams must travel by train to Kunming. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Dounan Flower Market, where they would find their next clue.

Teams must take a taxi to Golden Horse and Jade Cock Memorial Archway, where they would find their next clue.

Choice A: Honor the Past
Teams must travel to the Makye Ame Shangri-la Tibetan Palatial Restaurant and put on a traditional Tibetan outfit, then watch a theater troupe. Without taking any notes, teams must then go off-stage and put a series of 15 dolls dressed up like the actors in the order of the procession on stage. If they place the dolls in the correct order, they would receive their clue. If not, they must watch the procession again.

Gary & Mallory, Kisha & Jen, Ron & Christina, and Zev & Justin chose this task.

Choice B: Embrace the Future
Teams must put on safety gear and then bring three heavy boxes up to the roof of the China Great Wall Asset Management Company building. They must then help assemble a solar water heating system to receive their next clue.

Flight Time & Big Easy, Jaime & Cara, Jet & Cord, Kent & Vyxsin, and Margie & Luke chose this task.

Teams would be given a photo enclosed in their clue, leaving teams to figure out that they must make their way to the Yunnan Province Cultural Center, where they would find their next clue.

At Yunnan Province Cultural Center, teams would have the option to U-Turn a team, with two slots available. Kent & Vyxsin used the first slot of the U-Turn on Jaime & Cara. Jaime & Cara used the second slot of the U-Turn on Flight Time & Big Easy.

Since Jaime & Cara completed the Embrace the Future Detour, they would be forced to backtrack and complete the Honor the Past Detour before continuing.

Teams must make their way to the Stone Forest, where they would find their next clue.

"Who's ready for a task 65 million years in the making?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must assemble a life-size 20-foot long model of a Dilophosaurus. If at any point a paleontologist believes that the model was structurally unsafe, they must find their mistake before they could continue building. Once the model is properly built, the paleontologist would give them their next clue.

For coming in first place, Jet & Cord each won $5,000.
