Story[]

Route Markers[]

Teams must don safety gear and then rappel together down ten stories off of the side of the Colorado Street Bridge. Once at the bottom teams, would find their bags and their first clue.

Teams must fly to Shanghai, China. The first flight, China Airlines, could carry seven teams and is scheduled to arrive one hour and fifteen minutes ahead of the second flight, EVA Air. Upon arrival, teams must take a taxi to the Yuanshen Sports Centre Stadium, where they would find their next clue.

"Who's ready to get paddled?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must score one point in a game of table tennis against a 10-year-old Chinese national junior table tennis champion, who would rotate among all teams present at any given time. For each attempt after their first, the table tennis champion would play with an ordinary household object (scaling from a clipboard, a frying pan, a tambourine, a metal pencil case, and a clue envelope) to make it easier to score a point. Once they have scored a point, they would receive their next clue.

The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

Teams must make their way to Cui Ping Jiu Jia Restaurant, where they would find their next clue.

"Who wants to go tubing?"

The team member who sat out of the previous Roadblock must eat a Chinese delicacy desert known as hasma, which consists of the fatty connective tissue found near the fallopian tubes of a frog served to them in two hollowed-out papaya halves, using only a provided pair of chopsticks and without lifting the papaya off of the table. Once they completely finish the dish, they would receive their next clue.

The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

Teams must make their way to The Bund, where they must search the promenade for a woman and young boy with traditional Suanpan abacuses, who would give teams their next clue.

Teams must make their way on foot to the Bund Observatory to check in.
For coming in first place, Abbie & Ryan won the Double Your Money prize, allowing them to win $2,000,000 if they come in first on the final leg.
