Teams must fly to Phuket, Thailand. Upon arrival, teams must take a taxi to Nonthasak Marina, where they would find their next clue.

Choice A: Coral Reconstruction
Teams must ride speedboats to Khai Nai Island, where they must build a coral nursery out of pipes. Once complete, they must use a kayak to take the nursery and several coral fragments out to a buoy and set the nursery on the ocean floor, then set the coral fragments into the nursery. Once they have completed the task to the marine biologist's satisfaction, they would receive their next clue.

Andy & Tommy and Justin & Jennifer chose this task.

Choice B: Beach Preparation
Teams must ride speedboats to Khai Nai Island, where they must set up a series of 20 beach chairs and 10 umbrellas marked with a specific symbol given in their clue. Once the chairs and umbrellas were set up to the beach club owner's approval, they would receive their next clue.

Amani & Marcus, Bill & Cathi, Ernie & Cindy, Jeremy & Sandy, Laurence & Zac, and Liz & Marie chose this task.

Using a provided compass and medallion, teams must direct their boat captain north for 13 minutes to the island pictured on their medallion, Soap Island, where they would find their next clue.

"Who wants to be the king of the hill?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must climb the sheer rock wall at Koh Yao Noi until they reach a bird's nest from which they would retrieve their next clue. The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

Using their compass and a provided map, teams must direct their boat captain to Koh Panyi and find the soccer field to check in.

For coming in first place, Andy & Tommy each won $5,000.

For coming in last place, Liz & Marie will have to perform a Speed Bump at some point during the next leg of the race.
