Glenda & Lumumba

Glenda Renee Roberts and Patrice Lumumba Roberts are a team of Newlyweds on The Amazing Race 34.

After starting off strong in the first two legs, Glenda & Lumumba made a critical mistake during the Megaleg in Italy that resulted in them falling to the back of the pack. However, their harmonious relationship and constant positive attitudes allowed them to bounce back and remain in the Race. While they started the fifth leg equalized with all the other teams due to Abby & Will being medically removed from the Race, the made the fatal mistake of choosing a Detour involving dancing, along with three professional dancer teams. This left them in last and receiving a Departure Time Penalty for the following leg, which resulted in them never seeing another team upon arriving in France and leading to their elimination in 7th place.

Glenda Roberts and Lumumba Roberts, newlyweds from Norcross, Georgia.

Glenda, 41, is an insurance underwriter. Lumumba, also 41, is a middle school teacher. This couple has only known each other for two and a half years, having been married for one. But they're ready to take on problems of any size on the race, which may work to their advantage considering the seven inches of height discrepancy between them.

Glenda became pregnant after the race.^[2]
