Good Old Fashioned Spit in the Face is the fourth episode of The Amazing Race 27.

Route Markers[]

The order of departure from Museo Gauchesco are as follows:

Denise & James Earl, Cindy & Rick, and Tiffany & Krista's departure times were not shown on-screen.

Teams must take a bus back to Buenos Aires, then take one of two mandatory flights to Livingstone, Zambia. The first four teams would receive tickets for the first flight, and the remaining four teams would receive tickets for a flight scheduled to arrive 15 minutes after the first. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Mukuni Village, where they would receive a traditional Mukuni greeting along with their next clue.

Teams must make their way to Batoka Aerodrome, where they would find their next clue.

"Who wants to rise above the smoke that thunders?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must board a microlight plane and fly above Victoria Falls to spot a Race flag down below. Once they have landed, they must reunite with their partner and travel to the flag, located at Knife's Edge Bridge, where they would find their next clue.

Tanner & Josh used their Express Pass to bypass the Roadblock. Josh had chosen to perform the task prior to handing over the Express Pass.

Teams must make their way to Shoestrings Backpackers Lodge in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where they would claim one of three departure times the following morning. The first two teams would depart at 8:00 am, the next two teams would depart at 8:10 am, and the last four teams would depart at 8:20 am.

Choice A: Co-Op
Teams must make their way to The Big Five Co-Op, where they must stain and polish a carved wooden giraffe. Once it is properly painted and dried to the woodcarver's satisfaction, he would give them their next clue.

Cindy & Rick, Jazmine & Danielle, Logan & Chris, and Tiffany & Krista chose this task.

Choice B: Croquet
Teams must make their way to the Victoria Falls Hotel, where they must play a game of croquet against a professional player. Once they have scored five points, they would receive their next clue.

Denise & James Earl, Justin & Diana, Kelsey & Joey, and Tanner & Josh chose this task.

Teams must make their way the Rose of Charity Orphanage, where they would find the U-Turn board and must donate all their money in their possession to check in.

At Rose of Charity Orphanage, teams would have the option to U-Turn a team, with two slots available. Tiffany & Krista attempted to use the first slot of the U-Turn on Justin & Diana, however Justin & Diana already passed the U-Turn before Tiffany & Krista, thus having no effect on them. The second slot went unused.

This leg is a No-Rest Leg. Teams would check in as normal, but receive their clue to start the next leg from host Phil Keoghan. The team that comes in last place does not face a penalty.
