Australian recording artist and trailblazing DJ, Havana Brown has carved out a successful international music career as a highly sought-after DJ. Leaving behind her decks, the hit-making DJ will partner with her best friend of over 20 years, Stephanie Wood, to take on the world's biggest race.

Beginning her music career spinning tracks at intimate venues across Melbourne, Havana forged her own path in the male-dominated industry. Catching the attention of Universal Music Australia in 2008, she became the first female DJ to sign to a major record company in Australia. This led to a collaboration that delivered the acclaimed Crave Mix series, comprising nine chart-topping compilation albums, many certified gold and platinum. She went on to sign a deal with Universal Republic Records, home to renowned mega-artists such as Ariana Grande, Post Malone and Taylor Swift, and collaborated with heavyweight producer RedOne, who has also worked with the likes of Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, marking a pivotal moment in her career.

In April 2011, Havana released her debut single We Run the Night, featuring American rapper Pitbull. The single was certified triple platinum skyrocketing to number five on the ARIA Singles Chart, and soared to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, reaching top 30 overall on the Billboard Hot 100, and selling over one million copies in the United States. This success was followed by an impressive string of consecutive number-one hits on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs Chart, including Big Banana, Warrior and Flashing Lights.

With more than 300 million streams of her tunes, 3.2 million singles sold, and over a million social media followers, DJ Havana Brown is one of Australia's greatest musical exports. Her dynamic performance and star power as seen her share the stage on tour as the opening act for some of the biggest A-listers in music including Rihanna, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, The Pussycat Dolls & Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias and Bruno Mars.

With a discography boasting one studio album, 14 compilation albums, and 22 singles (including three as a featured artist, BeBe Rexha, R3hab, Pitbull), and 11 music videos, Havana Brown, with her unparalleled talent and infectious beats, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Havana's experience as a DJ and artist has taught her to thrive under pressure and think creatively on the fly, which will be invaluable during the Race. And while she is accustomed to long hours and demanding schedules, she's used to a certain level of travel comfort. Havana will be racing with her ‘ride-or-die' Steph, and hopes Steph's infectious enthusiasm will ensure her own yearning for luxury, will be replaced with laughter and adventure.

Having worked her way up the career ladder, and had a wonderful family of her own, mum of two Steph is looking forward to taking this rare opportunity to take time out of her hectic life, and travel with her best friend. Aside from getting to spend every minute with Havana, Steph wants to prove to herself that she is both mentally and physically strong enough to do the Race.

Steph expects that teams may pre-judge the pair as a little precious just looking at their big hair, make up and bouncy walk, and underestimate their abilities as a team. Her plan is not to correct anyone who makes these incorrect assumptions and says she would not be opposed to playing up to anyone's misconception if it helps them in the Race.

Having travelled extensively together, besties since their teenage years, Havana and Steph are hoping to have a blast tackling the Race while creating unforgettable memories together. Filled with energy, enthusiasm and fun, the team plan to give it everything they have got.
