During the Pit Stop, the teams were flown from Beijing to Guilin. In Guilin, they departed from Guihu Lake. The order of departure are as follows:
- Michelle & Jo (5:07 am)
- Paul & Steve (5:12 am)
- Shane & Andrew (8:47 am)
Teams had to don traditional fishermen outfits before paddling onto the Lijiang River, where they had to ask fishermen "Do you have something for me?" in Mandarin Chinese until they received their next clue. If they asked a wrong fisherman, they were given a fish instead.
Choice A: Teach
Teams must make their way to a Kindergarten School in Yangshuo County, where they had to teach one kindergartner ten Australian slang words. Once their student correctly recited all ten words to the teacher, teams received their next clue.
None of the teams chose this task.
Choice B: Learn
Teams must make their way to a Kindergarten School in Yangshuo County, where they had to teach how to say the same ten Australian slang words in Mandarin Chinese by one of the kindergartners. If teams could recite all ten words correctly to the teacher, they received their next clue.
All teams chose this task.Teams must make their way to Baisha Market where they had to convince ten locals to buy a vegetable slicer for no less than ¥5 each before receiving their next clue.
Teams must fly to Brisbane, Queensland. Upon arrival, they had to search the parking lot in Brisbane Airport for a marked Honda Civic, which contained their next clue.
Teams must make their way to Captain Burke Park for their next clue.
Teams must travel to Boggo Road Gaol where they had to find a prison warden with their next clue.
At Boggo Road Gaol, one team member then had to answer five questions during the Race:
- Which team would lend you a helping hand?
- Which team would lie to you?
- Which team worked best together?
- Whose relationship do you envy?
- Which was the unluckiest team?
Teams must make their way to Archerfield Airport where they had to board a charter flight to Fraser Island. Upon arrival, teams had to drive themselves to Lake McKenzie to find their next clue.
"Who has total recall?"
The assigned team member had to wade out to clue boxes in the lake which each contained a multiple choice question based on previous legs. Then they had to place coloured rings around the clue boxes which corresponded to the correct answer. If they got the questions right, they received the final clue.
The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:
Teams must have to dig up a treasure chest containing A$250,000 and carry it across the nearby Finish Line.

- This episode's Detour choices are the same as they were previously in both Leg 3 of The Amazing Race 12 and Leg 4 of The Amazing Race Asia 4 .
- The final task of digging to find a buried treasure chest on the beach was also done earlier on the finale of The Amazing Race Asia 3.
- The question and answer task is quite the same as in the previous season, and in the thirteenth leg on The Amazing Race: All-Stars and in the tenth leg in The Amazing Race Asia 4.
