The race begins at Independence Square in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Teams must travel to Berjaya Times Square. There, teams must abseil down from the eighth floor to receive their next clue.

Teams must travel by taxi to Kompleks Kraf to find their next clue.

Choice A: Paint
Teams must trace and paint a traditional silk batik painting based on a design shown to them to receive their next clue.

Andrew & Syeon, Andy & Laura, Howard & Sahran, Jacqueline & Aubrey, Joe Jer & Zabrina, Marsio & Mardy, Melody & Sharon, Sahil & Prashant, and Sandy & Francesca chose this task.

Choice B: Pot
Teams must make a pot from clay on a pottery wheel to receive their next clue. One member must shape the pot, while the other member must control the speed of the wheel.

Only Ernie & Jeena chose this task.

Teams must drive to City Carting Enterprise outside Shah Alam Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor, to find their next clue.

At City Carting Enterprise, both team members must complete four consecutive laps of the circuit in a go-kart to receive their next clue.

Teams must drive to Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve in Kuala Lumpur and follow a marked jungle trail to the Pit Stop at the top of Menara Kuala Lumpur and check in. For coming in last, Sandy & Francesca would have to surrender all of their money, and they would not receive any money at the start of the next leg.
