The order of departure from Virgen de La Puerta are as follows:

1. Hayley & Blair (6:39 am)
2. Jelani & Jenny (7:19 am)
3. Mike & Rochelle (8:35 am)
4. Laura & Tyler (8:48 am)

Teams must make their way taxi back to Trujillo, where they must find a payaso a clown, outside the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. The clown would give them a magnifying glass each, along with a provided picture depicting a section of a nearby large mosaic, which teams must use to locate a tiny Route Marker flag on the mosaic. Once they have located a flag, they may trade it to the clown in exchange for their next clue.

Choice A: Shake Your Hips
Teams must make their way to Asociación de Criadores y Propietarios de Caballos de Paso, where they must dress in traditional costume and learn the marinera courtship dance. Once they have performed the dance to the satisfaction of the head judge, they would receive their next clue.

Jelani & Jenny and Mike & Rochelle chose this task.

Choice B: Make Some Bricks
Teams must make their way to the Chan Chan archaeological area, where they must make twelve wet bricks from mud and sand. Once all twelve bricks are completed to the foreman's specifications, they must use a wheelbarrow to transport twelve dry bricks to a work site. Once the delivery is complete, the foreman would give them their next clue.

Hayley & Blair and Laura & Tyler chose this task.

Teams must take a taxi to the intersection of Avenida Ribera and Manco Capac in Huanchaco, where they would find their next clue.

"Who wants to ride a sea horse?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must ride a caballito de totora, which both members must first pick up and carry to the beach. The chosen member must then paddle the caballito de totora out to a buoy in the ocean to retrieve their next clue.

Teams must make their way on foot to Virgen del Socorro to check in.

For coming in first place, Hayley & Blair won a trip for two to Goa, India, provided by Travelocity.

This leg is a No-Rest Leg. Teams would check in as normal, but receive their clue to start the next leg from host Phil Keoghan. The team that comes in last place does not face a penalty.
