It's Hammer Time is the penultimate episode of The Amazing Race 2.
Synopsis[]
The four remaining teams travel to Auckland, New Zealand, and rappel into the nearby Lost World caves.[2]

The order of departure from Inverary Sheep Station are as follows:
- Blake & Paige (2:12 am)
- Tara & Wil (3:13 am)
- Chris & Alex (3:41 am)
- Oswald & Danny (5:04 am)
Teams must choose a marked campervan, which would serve as their transportation for the leg. They must drive themselves to the Interislander Picton Ferry Terminal in Picton, then take a ferry to Wellington. Teams are given tickets to two ferries. The first ferry would depart at 11:30 am. The second ferry would depart at 1:30 pm. They must then drive themselves to the Maori Arts & Crafts Institute in Rotorua, where they must participate in a traditional Māori ceremony. After the ceremony, teams would receive their next clue.
Teams must drive themselves to the Waitomo Caves and find the area known as "The Lost World". There, they must don safety gear, then traverse into the cave, where they would find their next clue.
The Fast Forward instructions were given to teams at the Maori Arts & Crafts Institute. Teams must drive themselves to Mount Tarawera, where they must drive a marked 4x4 vehicle up a marked path of the volcano, then hike to the very top. There, they must complete a treacherous "scree" run into the mouth of the dormant volcano to receive the Fast Forward pass. Tara & Wil won the Fast Forward.
Choice A: Drop
Teams must rappel with a guide 350 feet (110 m) into the cavern, then walk a short distance to Jesus Rock to retrieve their next clue.
Blake & Paige, Chris & Alex, and Oswald & Danny chose this task.
Choice B: Climb
Tams must climb 100 feet (30 m) down a ladder into the cavern, then walk a much longer distance to Jesus Rock to retrieve their next clue.
Teams must drive themselves to 4 Track Adventures, where they would find their next clue.
"That person should be a rough rider."
The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must ride an ATV through a marked off-road course over difficult terrain. At the end of the course, they would find their next clue, and then make a trip back before reuniting with their partner.

Teams must drive themselves to the Warbirds Hangar at Ardmore Airport to check in.
For coming in first place, Tara & Wil won a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, provided by American Airlines Vacations.
