Jet Black and Dave Schram are a team of Best Friends on The Amazing Race Canada 1 and The Amazing Race Canada 7.[1]
Making their debut in the inaugural season, their status as the apparent alpha-male team was quickly overshadowed by their light-hearted humor. Their antics quickly endeared them to viewers, while at the same time not hindering their racing ability at all, as they won three legs in a row at one point and generally finished in the top half. In the penultimate leg, despite being on the second shuttle into St. John's, they got a cab driver who was only on her fourth day on the job, which lost them their lead on the trailing teams. Later on, Dave struggled with the busker Roadblock, putting them out in 4th place.
After winning a fan poll and being brought back to the race as Canada's Choice for the seventh season, the duo was determined to be worthy of the honour of being chosen by the fans. They decided to approach the race with a more serious attitude and had a target on their backs for returning. Despite starting off strong like the fans expected, they dropped from 2nd to last when the drove 80 kilometers in the wrong direction looking for the farm, allowing the trailing Gilles & Sean to pass them. They never made up the deficit cutting their chance at redemption short as they finished in 10th place.

Jet[]Age: 32 (April 2, 1981) Dave[]Age: 28 (June 3, 1984) "We have strengths that compliment each other's weaknesses," Dave says. "Where he often struggles, I frequently excel," adds Jet. Friends urged Jet and Dave to apply for THE AMAZING RACE CANADA; they are the life of the party, no matter where they go. They met in high school when Jet started dating one of Dave's friends, and when Jet and the girl parted, the two remained friends. Since then the inseparable pair have traveled the world together and have been through thick and thin as best buddies. Physically they are a lethal combination; Jet is a two-time Men's National Physique Champion, while Dave is a National Champion in Cheerleading. They also never miss an opportunity to joke around and know that they can be perceived as goofy – which they plan to use to their advantage. "In addition to our charm and good looks, we're both actually quite intelligent," says Jet. "We are as smart, if not smarter than the dolphin," adds Dave. Of The Race the two agree, "We are excited to get to explore our great country that most Canadians never get the chance to see." Motto: "We're like icebergs...10% above water, 90% below!" How will they plan to win the Race: "Be ourselves and win...in a strategic manner." Number one roadblock as team: "Getting along when things don't go our way, we're both control freaks."
