Kent Kaliber (formerly Kynt Cothron) and Vyxsin Fiala are a team of Dating Goths on The Amazing Race 12 and The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business.

In Season 12, their unique wardrobe made for memorable interactions with the local cultures, which, combined with their showman behavior, made them fan favorites. They started off as solid racers until fatigue hit hard in Italy, as they got lost and earned the show's first Speed Bump. Though they managed to keep up with the pack in the next leg, Kynt botched the use of the U-Turn when he inexplicably used it on Nicolas & Donald, who were far ahead of them at that point, which led to Nathan & Jennifer passing them on the Roadblock and leaving them in 5th.

Due to their popularity, they returned for Unfinished Business. However, they suffered a communications breakdown on their way to the airport in Japan, resulting in them missing a required flight, though they managed to stay in the game and make it to the final five. There, despite leaving the chocolate gnome Roadblock first, they were eliminated in 5th place when they received a thirty-minute penalty after mistakenly taking a cab instead of walking to the Pit Stop.

The Amazing Race 12 The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business These best friends have been dating on and off for over three years. These purveyors of Goth pride themselves on keeping Louisville "weird." In their own hometown Kynt & Vyxsin are very active in their local scene, regularly hosting and acting as emcee at rock shows and club nights. The most difficult part of the Race will undoubtedly be keeping up their daily "make up" routine. Between the two of them Kynt & Vyxsin have collectively had their hair dyed 18 different colors. Fashion is a passion for these two. Vyxsin claims that the biggest difference between the two is that she is very emotional while he is more reserved. She has been trying to get him to open up more and express his true feelings which she claims she's having success doing. Vyxsin describes herself as compassionate and theatrical and she works as a waiter at Ramsi's Cafe. Kynt is a waiter at the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant. Kynt describes himself as abstract, atypical and avant-garde He claims that the biggest difference between the two is that Vyxsin is more emotional while Kynt is more sarcastic. Both have also worked as receptionists at Kaleidoscope hair salon for several years. Together they enjoy shopping, dancing and doing each other's hair/makeup. Besides a mirror Kynt & Vyxsin's favorite thing to stare into is their computer monitor as both are admittedly MySpace-addicts. Additionally they both enjoy roadtripping to Sci-Fi conventions across the country where as Kynt puts it, "They feel right at home surrounded by Storm Troopers and Wookies." Both have a dream of someday attending the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Germany, which is the largest Goth/industrial music festival in the world. Representing the "Goth" community in Louisville has embedded a strong sense of "us against the world" mentality in these two Racers. Therefore, don't look for them to fall apart when the chips are down, a trait that will undoubtedly be tested on the Race. Connection to your Teammate: Boyfriend Current Occupation: Print and Runway Model Previous Season/Result: Season 12/5th place Biggest mistake you made in your previous season: My biggest mistake in our previous season was completely burning out the clutch of our car in Italy. Most memorable moment from your first Race: Arriving at the magical masquerade village in Vilnius, Lithuania. Everyone there was dressed head to toe in mystical costumes. The costumes, the creativity and the decadence reminded me of the Sci-Fi and Comic-Con conventions that Vyxsin and I love to attend every year. Favorite place you visited on your first season: India, I loved the frenetic energy and cascade of color in every direction. The kaleidoscopic fashion was surreal and the beautiful Indian belly dancers kept my spirits high. Why do you want to run the Race again? I lost my dad very suddenly and unexpectedly this year. I want to run the Race as a tribute to him. A victory in this race will give my family some much needed good news. How have you changed since the last time you competed? Vyxsin and I moved to L.A. and started modeling for our favorite designers. People would be surprised to learn: Believe it or not, I'm NOT much of an outdoorsman. Before our first season, I had never been camping. It is very difficult to apply eyeliner in a tent. I don't have much interest in "roughing it" so to speak. One location that you hope to go on this adventure: I hope to go to the most smoldering and humid Amazon Rainforest because Vyxsin in a pink and black bikini for an entire leg would be great motivation. What do you hope to accomplish by running the Race again (other than winning one million dollars): I want to inspire our families. It's been a difficult year and this Race could be the much-needed healing that Vyxsin and I need. Pet peeve about your teammate: Housekeeping is not one of Vyxsin's talents. Her house is a disorganized melting pot of garters, glitter and glam rock. I shudder to think about what the inside of her backpack will look like. There is no way I am letting her anywhere near our race fanny pack and passports! What would you do if you won the million dollars? Go on a vacation! Any strategic changes you will make heading into this Race: We are prepared physically but we need to work on getting our head in the game. We are going to focus more mentally. Connection to your Teammate: Girlfriend Current Occupation: Print and Runway Model Previous Season/Result: Season 12/5th place Biggest mistake you made in your previous season: I should have helped Kent get better prepared for stick-shift driving. He burnt the clutch in our vehicle in Italy, which turned out to be a one-way ticket to last place. Most memorable moment from your first Race: Watching Kent pole vault into a muddy irrigation ditch in Amsterdam. He does not enjoy getting dirty! He looked like a miserable wet kitten as he crawled out of that ditch in his ruined outfit. Favorite place you visited on your first season: Burkina Faso, Africa, the people were so kind and warm from the moment we stepped off the plane. Why do you want to run the Race again? We have suffered the loss of a loved one since our first race. We need an uplifting experience at this point in our lives. How have you changed since the last time you competed? Our experience on THE AMAZING RACE has opened so many doors for us! We have moved to Los Angeles to pursue our love of fashion, club life and new adventures. What are you passionate about? Dancing, my teammate and my family. People would be surprised to learn: I feel totally at home in the kitchen. I love to cook vegan food. One location that you hope to go on this adventure: Australia, Kent would look adorable up in a tree cuddling with the koala bears. Biggest challenge you and your teammate will face on the Race together: Packing! We carry way too much with us. We need to pack lighter. What do you hope to accomplish by running the Race again (other than winning one million dollars): We hope to inspire our families and to reconnect with each other after an extremely difficult year. Pet peeve about your teammate: Kent is always "borrowing" (i.e. stealing) my eye-pencils and powders. I am constantly chasing him away from my make-up bag. What would you do if you won the million dollars? If I won the million dollars I would take both of our families on a long vacation. Any strategic changes you will make heading into this Race: We are going to try to form alliances with other teams instead of only focusing on ourselves. Working together with another team or two could propel us all to the final three.

Notes: 2: There was no mandatory rest period between Legs 4 and 5, as all teams were ordered to continue racing. Kent & Vyxsin did not have to face a Speed Bump during Leg 5, despite coming in last during Leg 4. 3: When Kent & Vyxsin finished Leg 4, they were issued a 30-minute penalty for failing to take the required flight from Tokyo-Narita to Kunming, to be served at the next Pit Stop. They arrived at the Leg 5 Pit Stop in 4th; during their penalty Kisha & Jen checked in, dropping Kent & Vyxsin to 5th. 4: Kent & Vyxsin initially arrived 3rd, but were issued a 30-minute penalty for taking a taxi instead of going on foot from the Roadblock to the Pit Stop as the clue had specified. Gary & Mallory and Zev & Justin, the only teams trailing Kent and Vyxsin at that point, checked in during the penalty time and Kent & Vyxsin were eliminated before the 30 minutes elapsed.

Post-Race

• In 2010, after the death of his father, Kent dropped the "y" from his name and returned to using an "e".
• Kent & Vyxsin have had cameos on Bones and The Big Bang Theory.
• The couple applied for The Amazing Race Asia 3, but were rejected as the producers did not want teams to face against an experienced team, in addition to not residing in Asia at the time.
  • They had their audition video though shown on that Season's Special, Racers Revealed.
• Kent & Vyxsin broke up sometime after The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business.

Trivia

• Kent & Vyxsin are the team to perform a Speed Bump as a penalty for finishing last on a Non-Elimination Leg.
• Host Phil Keoghan branded them the "most fashionable team ever" upon their elimination in The Amazing Race 12.
• They are the first team to use a U-Turn and be eliminated in the same leg.
• They are the second of six teams to finish in the same position twice, 5th place (with Oswald & Danny (4th), Margie & Luke (8th), Leo & Jamal (4th), Brendon & Rachel (3rd), and Becca & Floyd (5th)).
