King of the Jungle is the fifth episode of The Amazing Race 27.

Route Markers

The order of departure from Rose of Charity Orphanage are as follows:

Since the previous leg was a no-rest leg, teams immediately departed from the Pit Stop to continue racing.

Teams must travel by taxi to The Lookout Café to find their next clue.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to strap on a harness and free fall 200 feet into the Batoka Gorge and swing above the Zambezi River. Once they return to the top, they will get their next clue.

Choice A: Crocs
Teams must travel to Crocodile Cage Diving at Elephants Walk Shopping and Artist Village where they'll change into wetsuits and submerge in a metal cage to feed meat to three Nile crocodiles using poles. Once the crocodiles are fed, they'll receive their next clue.

Cindy & Rick, Denise & James Earl, Jazmine & Danielle, Kelsey & Joey, Logan & Chris, and Tiffany & Krista chose this task.

Choice B: Canoes
Teams must travel to A Zambezi River Lodge where they had to get an inflatable canoe and paddle together across the river. Once they arrive at the riverbank, one team member has to hoist their partner up a tree to retrieve the clue from a vulture's nest, and then to paddle back across the river.

Justin & Diana and Tanner & Josh chose this task.

Denise & James Earl used their Express Pass to bypass the Crocs Detour.

Teams must travel by taxi to The Lion Encounter at the Masuwe Safari Lodge to find their next clue.

Teams will walk through the bush accompanied by safari instructors and two lions to find their next clue in a skull. Only two teams are permitted at a time into the bush.

Teams must travel on foot to the Masuwe Private Game Reserve, while balancing fruit bowls on their head, to check in. For coming in first place, Denise & James Earl won a trip for two to Bratislava, Slovakia.

This episode's Roadblock is a Switchback to the Air Detour from the series premiere, albeit on the Zimbabwean side of the Batoka Gorge, rather than the Zambian side.
With Jazmine & Danielle's elimination, Tiffany & Krista are the last all-female team standing.
