Laura Takahashi and Jackie Skinner are a Married team on The Amazing Race Canada 2.

During the first two legs in Canada, the pair generally finished in the middle of the pack. In Hong Kong, their luck seemed to be on an upward trajectory when they were in the first group to receive the blessing to start the leg. However, they chose the longer of the two Detours, wasting time looking for ingredients while the other teams who chose the quicker option passed them. This put them in a fight to avoid last place with Sukhi & Jinder, the only other team to complete the longer Detour. Even though they managed to finish before them, their failure to find a cab to the Roadblock dropped them into last, and they were eliminated in 9th place.

Laura and Jackie met 15 years ago as camp counselors, quickly became close friends, and before long they began dating. Recently, after an elaborate proposal that Jackie sprung on Laura while they were travelling in Vietnam, the couple decided to take the final leap and get married. The pair are dedicated humanitarians who enjoy travelling the world to embrace and discover breathtaking scenes in the landscapes around them, and find peace in helping others. They volunteer for many different causes and consider themselves planners and doers, always completing a task close to their hearts. However, no matter how often they explore the world, not being able to predict every scenario and being in unknown situations tends to bring a level of stress between the two of them. "We may struggle as a team with problem solving challenges," said Laura. "But Jackie will do well with anything thrilling – the bigger the better!" "Laura will be good at memory challenges," adds Jackie. Winning 'The Amazing Race Canada' would affirm their belief that they can accomplish anything together as women. They have many helpful mentors in their lives and would like to now be role models themselves.
