Lulu & Lala

Marianela "Lulu" Gonzalez and Marissa "Lala" Gonzalez are a team of Twins/Radio Hosts on The Amazing Race 33.

Lulu & Lala's constant bickering and personal issues put them at the bottom of the pack in their initial run, only scraping by due to the second leg being a No-Rest Leg. However, when the Race resumed from its hiatus, the twins began to race smarter and more calmly, allowing them to make it to the final five. Their pre-hiatus form re-emerged in the eighth leg as the twins struggled with navigation, bickered, and made error after error, resulting in their elimination in 5th place.

Mariana "Lulu" Gonzalez and Marissa "Lala" Gonzalez, twins and radio hosts from North Bergen, New Jersey.

Lulu and Lala, both 37, work for iHeart Radio and are ready to step away from the studio. They hope their connection as twins will keep them in step during the many steps they'll take around the world. Their five years of work at a hardware store also makes them not afraid to get their hands dirty (though perhaps that's more appropriate for another Phil Keoghan show).

Notes: 1: Leg 2 had no mandatory rest period between legs, and all teams were ordered to continue racing. Lulu & Lala did not have to face a Speed Bump during Leg 3, despite coming in last during Leg 2. 2: Lulu & Lala initially arrived 1st after accidentally coming across the Pit Stop while searching for the souvlaki vendor. They had to backtrack and perform the other tasks. By the time they finished, all the other teams had reached the Pit Stop, resulting in their elimination. 3: Leg 8 had two Roadblocks and no Detour. The team member who sat out the first Roadblock was required to perform the second one.

Post-Race[]

Between the Race's suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Race's resumption, their grandmother died of COVID-19 in May 2020.
In April 2023, Lulu got engaged to her fiancé. ^[3]
In 2023, Lulu & Lala competed on the CBS game show Raid the Cage.
