It's me, Linus, the user that reccomended the Episode Leaderboards a while back :). I'm just writing to check-in about that, specificially have they been added to the MOS for Episode Pages yet? Are there any other problems with it that should be altered?
Yes, your suggestion for our episode leaderboards have been approved and may already be used for our episode pages, perhaps the upcoming seasons. I have yet to add them to our manual of style page for episodes.
Lol, I'm eager to start the Amazing Race Canada 3 page as a placeholder (season premiere July 8, so the team reveals should be rolling out very soon), but I guess it's best to wait until we have names, huh?
Since it's nearly a month until the premiere, it's okay to create the TARC 3 page now as a placeholder. Anyways, we have some information like the premiere date. We can just add information as it rolls out up to the premiere.
Also, since I see Ian hasn't been around in a while:
Apparently this season is introducing something new called the "Face Off" which, from the description the show gave, is essentially identical to Israel's "Double Battle" (teams face each other in competition, the last one there gets a time penalty).
Is a new symbol is needed for this? Or just the same ones from the Double Battle legs.
Hey, I know you don't know me very well so I'm Linus :). I was just looking through the wiki and saw that the episode pages have a "leaderboard" which is basically just who arrived 1st--last in each leg, however it doesn't give specifics about what positions teams were during each leg (ex. Amy and Maya were the second to leave the Roadblock, but the fourth to arrive at the pit stop). I was wondering what you though about putting a Leaderboard for each episode similar to how the Reality Fan wiki does it (check here for an example)? It would make the episode pages more specific and be more informative. If this has already been suggested, I apologize! I just kind of float around the wiki every now and then, so I don't know what goes on.
Thanks for considering it! Like I said, I only come on this wiki every now and again because I'm pretty busy, but I'm an avid Amazing Race fan, so if this would require a team effort I would try to contribute when I can!
Thank you for that feedback. I think that it would be great to have a leaderboard for specific Route Markers/task locations, as part of our MOS for episode articles, as long as we can find information regarding each team's placement for each marker.
Perhaps, you may want to share this to the entire community through our Forum for the community to share their own feedback, before we can actually approve of this proposal to be added to the MOS for episode articles. If your proposal gets approved, I think that it would be great for you to assist us with adding these kinds of leaderboards for each episode article, whenever you can.
Great! I'm glad you like my idea. However, because I'm a bit busy with school at the moment, I'll start up the proposal as soon as I can (hopefully this weekend). Under which "board" would it be suitable for me to put my propsal do you think?
I am filing a leave of absence effective immediately. You see, I am a graduating uni student, so I can no longer do my daily wiki rounds. I am confident that you and Stickman can fill in my shows perfectly. :)
On wikis, you can only do so much with basic HTML coding, and certainly embedding them is not something you can cut and paste. These have to be pasted on a MediaWiki-prefixed page before it could work.
I know you are one of the newest admins that are trying to fix this mess, but I was wondering... the Story section of the episode pages should narrate everything like the plot of an Survivor episode (using as example) or just briefly like: "Yadadadayada The teams were shocked to see that Amy & Maya were still on the race yadadadadadayada".
Hi. There appears to be something off about The Amazing Race 25 page. I kept trying to colour the number 7 with the Orange font tag as it was a non-elimination. Every time it was right in the preview, but then when I Publish the page, for some reason it creates an empty duplicate heading under the Results table. I can't figure out the problem.
Hi! I would like to contribute for the TARPh 2 page in which there are still many info missing. At the main site there are pictures that shown them individually and I am not sure the right naming convention for it. If there are other information needed to fill up I hope you could reply to my inquiries. Thanks.
Yes please. Feel free to help contribute to The Amazing Race Philippines: Biyaheng Asya. I forgot about the new season of our country's version. But please make sure to check the Images Guidelines for proper naming and copyright status of the images you got. Please make sure you give proper attribution to the images.
I personally it still should be able to link directly on it as The Amazing Race Philippines 2 because it is still an active link when in that particular page, when other links are inactive because the link matches that particular page. It also keeps up with the consistency with the other season links
Also think that it should be featured in the Navigation Bar's "Now Airing" section and also in the "Next Stop in the Amazing Race" front page section to keep updated on the schedule (and know it actually exists, in the main page).
The latest challenge had two pairs having to compete against each other in in which only the winning pair of that showdown would advance. Is it similar to the Intersection type duels of other versions, from what I know? Could we put that part on that section too (although we could indicate it is not an Intersection)?
I don't really think it's considered an Intersection, unless it was officially mentioned as an Intersection. Otherwise, it is just a special task.
Sir, very good job on updating The Amazing Race Philippines 2. I am really busy right now so I can't really watch it that much. :( It's good that you're not copying directly from Wikipedia or any other website (hopefully). Keep it up!
