  • Hey Pat,

It's me, Linus, the user that reccomended the Episode Leaderboards a while back :). I'm just writing to check-in about that, specificially have they been added to the MOS for Episode Pages yet? Are there any other problems with it that should be altered?

    Thank you,

    Linus

    • Hello Linus,

Yes, your suggestion for our episode leaderboards have been approved and may already be used for our episode pages, perhaps the upcoming seasons. I have yet to add them to our manual of style page for episodes.

      Thanks! - Pat

  • Lol, I'm eager to start the Amazing Race Canada 3 page as a placeholder (season premiere July 8, so the team reveals should be rolling out very soon), but I guess it's best to wait until we have names, huh?

    • We can use the same ones from the Double Battle legs.

  • I'm kind of new to the categories from the wikia and I've been wondering that since Joey Graceffa came out of the closet yesterday there was some tag for straight/gay teams.

    Kthxbye.

    • Hi,

I think it would be fine to add the "straight/gay teams" category for Joey & Meghan, which had already been added.

  • Hey, I know you don't know me very well so I'm Linus :). I was just looking through the wiki and saw that the episode pages have a "leaderboard" which is basically just who arrived 1st--last in each leg, however it doesn't give specifics about what positions teams were during each leg (ex. Amy and Maya were the second to leave the Roadblock, but the fourth to arrive at the pit stop). I was wondering what you though about putting a Leaderboard for each episode similar to how the Reality Fan wiki does it (check here for an example)? It would make the episode pages more specific and be more informative. If this has already been suggested, I apologize! I just kind of float around the wiki every now and then, so I don't know what goes on.

Thanks for considering it! Like I said, I only come on this wiki every now and again because I'm pretty busy, but I'm an avid Amazing Race fan, so if this would require a team effort I would try to contribute when I can!

    • Hi Linus,

Thank you for that feedback. I think that it would be great to have a leaderboard for specific Route Markers/task locations, as part of our MOS for episode articles, as long as we can find information regarding each team's placement for each marker.

Perhaps, you may want to share this to the entire community through our Forum for the community to share their own feedback, before we can actually approve of this proposal to be added to the MOS for episode articles. If your proposal gets approved, I think that it would be great for you to assist us with adding these kinds of leaderboards for each episode article, whenever you can.

      Again, thanks!

    • Hey Pat,

Great! I'm glad you like my idea. However, because I'm a bit busy with school at the moment, I'll start up the proposal as soon as I can (hopefully this weekend). Under which "board" would it be suitable for me to put my propsal do you think?

      Thanks,

      --Linus

  • I am filing a leave of absence effective immediately. You see, I am a graduating uni student, so I can no longer do my daily wiki rounds. I am confident that you and Stickman can fill in my shows perfectly. :)

    P.S. So, no FB add?

    • Sure, Ian. Thank you for your great contributions to this community. The community looks forward to welcoming you back. The best of luck to you!

Also, I have decided not to add anyone from Wikia. Sorry.

  • As our new admin, I would like to teach you how to I did the route maps for Season 1 so you can do it yourself.

    1. Sign in at Mapbox.
    2. Click "projects".
    3. Click "create project"
    4. Click the magnifying glass to search for the specific location the race went that episode.
    5. Once you enter the map, click "data".
    6. Click the "marker" and place it above the location in question.
    7. For uniformity's sake, at the "symbol" portion, let the first location (either the starting line or the previous pit stop city/town be "1"). Let me do the Route Maps for season pages by the way.
    8. Connect these markers using the line tool.
    9. Save your work. At the "project" tab, name it in such a way that you can recognize it easily (ex. TAR US2 E1 - up to you).
    10. After saving, click "info" and copy the embed code.
    11. Make a MediaWiki page (ex. MediaWiki:US1e1Route) and paste the code there. Please change the width from '100%' to '600px' and the height from '500px' to '350px'. Save.
    12. At the tabber, type <verbatim>US1e5Route</verbatim>.
    13. Cheers!

  • I know you are one of the newest admins that are trying to fix this mess, but I was wondering... the Story section of the episode pages should narrate everything like the plot of an Survivor episode (using as example) or just briefly like: "Yadadadayada The teams were shocked to see that Amy & Maya were still on the race yadadadadadayada".

  • Hi. There appears to be something off about The Amazing Race 25 page. I kept trying to colour the number 7 with the Orange font tag as it was a non-elimination. Every time it was right in the preview, but then when I Publish the page, for some reason it creates an empty duplicate heading under the Results table. I can't figure out the problem.

  • Hi! I would like to contribute for the TARPh 2 page in which there are still many info missing. At the main site there are pictures that shown them individually and I am not sure the right naming convention for it. If there are other information needed to fill up I hope you could reply to my inquiries. Thanks.

    • Hi! I may need help getting some info about TARP 2, as there are many data missing in the legs. This Leg 5 has been a Superleg it seems. Thanks!

    • Just get the info from Wikipedia, as long as it's not copied directly. :)
