Michelle Troy and Joanne "Jo" Troy are a team of Cheerleader Twins on The Amazing Race Australia 2.

They may be bubbly, blonde cheerleaders, but these identical twins from Sydney are out to prove there's more to them than meets the eye.

Michelle and Jo not only look alike, they also drive the same type of car, work in the same job as ground staff for an airline and more often than not finish each other's sentences.

"We've got the travel side of things sorted through our knowledge from work," says Michelle.

Jo adds, "Plus we're fit from the dancing. We're competitive. We've competed in surf lifesaving championships."

"We communicate well. We know what the other one's thinking. We're in with a really strong chance."

The girls are cheerleaders for the St George Illawarra Dragons NRL team and Jo's proudest achievement is winning the 2011 Cheer Girl of the Year.

Even though the twins recently didn't speak to each other for nearly two years - Michelle didn't approve of Jo's boyfriend at the time - they have now reconciled and are mostly looking forward to being with each other 24/7 on the race.

"But I'm hoping there'll be no major blow ups otherwise we'll be in trouble!" says Michelle.

For girls whose ideal overseas trip involves "the beach and sunbaking", how do they think they'll cope with the challenges?

"We're good with puzzles and we think we've got common sense," says Michelle. "And when it comes to strength I'm sure we can push ourselves."

What did you do for a living before The Amazing Race Australia? Cheerleading for St George Illawarra Dragons & Sydney ground crew at Jetstar
How did you first meet? We are Twins, so in mummy's tummy
In what ways do you think you complement each other as a team? We are twins, so usually one is always good at something the other may not be. Jo is a scaredy cat and I am the adventurous one, so I can do all the heights and daring challenges. And Jo loves food especially spicy food and I'm terrible, so she can do the eating challenges.
What strong points do you have that you think will help you win the race? We have Travel industry knowledge from the airlines. We are both physically fit from dancing and surf lifesaving and hopefully our looks and being twins will help us a lot too as we seem to get noticed a lot when we are together.
How are you planning to deal with the stress so you don't crack on the race? I am normally quite patient. My goal is to not give up and finish the amazing race Australia. This is enough drive to get me through any situation, otherwise to calm me down, just feed me hehe.
What's the most daring thing you've ever done? Sky diving for my 21st Birthday
What was the first thing you did when you learned that you had been selected to be on The Amazing Race Australia? I cried when I found out we got selected, I had dreamt about going on the show for sooo long. Then I booked a driving lesson in a manual as I had never driven a manual before.
What's one quality about your team mate that could hold you back during the race? Jo is a big scaredy cat and does not like to be out of her comfort zone!! I hope that she can overcome a lot of her fears quickly and throw herself at any challenge given or otherwise we may be eliminated.^[2]
