Route Markers[]
The order of departure from the Spitzkoppe are as follows:
- Matt & Ashley (6:47 am)
- Laura & Tyler (6:48 am)
- Hayley & Blair (7:08 am)
- Jelani & Jenny (7:35 am)
- Mike & Rochelle (7:54 am)
- Aly & Steve (8:12 am)
Teams would be driven to the town of Swakopmund, where they must find the Swakopmunder Buchhandlung. Once there, teams must purchase a copy of the Allgemeine Zeitung and search for an advertisement, written in German, in the daily containing the location of their next clue.
Teams must drive themselves to the Ground Rush Adventures Skydiving Club in Dorob National Park, where they would find their next clue.
At the Ground Rush Adventures Skydiving Club, Aly & Steve would receive their clue for their Speed Bump. Aly & Steve must make four toy planes from repurposed soda cans and assemble them properly, following a finished example as reference, before they are allowed to continue.
"Who has always wanted a skybox?"
The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must watch a yellow supply case drop 1,000 ft from an airplane and retrieve it on foot. After locating the briefcase, they must walk to a hilltop to pick up the Travelocity roaming gnome and reunite with their partner at the starting point to open the supply case, which contained their next clue. Teams must carry the gnome with them for the remainder of the leg.

Teams must drive themselves to Snake Bend Pan, where they would find their next clue.
Choice A: Work
Teams must attach five tires to the back of their vehicle to smooth 5 miles of bumpy dirt road. Once the foreman is satisfied with their work, they would receive their next clue.
Hayley & Blair, Laura & Tyler, and Mike & Rochelle chose this task.
Choice B: Play
Teams must cross-country sand ski across a series of sand dunes up a marked course, then slide down on a sand board to the bottom of a dune to receive their next clue.
Aly & Steve, Jelani & Jenny, and Matt & Ashley chose this task.
Jelani & Jenny used their Express Pass to bypass the Play Detour.Teams must travel on foot down the road to find their next clue.
At Snake Bend Pan, teams would have the option to U-Turn a team, with two slots available. Matt & Ashley used the first slot of the U-Turn on Jelani & Jenny. Laura & Tyler used the second slot of the U-Turn on Aly & Steve.
Since Jelani & Jenny used their Express Pass on the Play Detour, they would be forced to backtrack and complete the Work Detour before continuing.

Teams must drive themselves to Moon Valley Landscape and find Goanikontes Oasis, where they must choose one of four animals (a camel, a donkey, an oryx, or a zebra) a lead it to the nearby Pit Stop to check in.
For coming in first place, Laura & Tyler won a trip for two to Queenstown, New Zealand.
