Introduced in The Amazing Race 1, a team who is the last to arrive at the Pit Stop during a Non-Elimination Leg incurs no penalty. The only disadvantage for coming in last would be departing last on the next leg. This was discontinued in The Amazing Race 5 and replaced by Surrender Money. It is still used in some international versions of the show.

Similarly, teams who arrive last in No-Rest Legs do not incur any penalty and are informed to continue racing.
