Robbin & Chelsea

Robbin Tomich and Chelsea Day are a team of Childhood Friends on The Amazing Race 35.

Despite their optimistic attitudes and viewing the race as a once in a lifetime experience, Robbin and Chelsea often struggled with slowness and directions, both of which caused them to fall to the back of the pack several times. Despite this, a willingness to do anything to win kept them trucking through to the final 6 but was also met with a little criticism by other teams. On leg 9, Robbin and Chelsea fell to last place early on when Chelsea accidentally forgot a rolling pin during the first roadblock and then lost more time by missing the turn to the Postojna cave. They never saw another team again before being eliminated in 6th place.

What do you think is the most important skill required to win The Amazing Race?
Robbin Tomich: Heart.
Chelsea Day: Composure. Both of those things. And not giving up. Being able to stop, assess, and make the right choice.

What previous Amazing Race team does your dynamic remind you of the most?
Chelsea: I haven't thought about that one in a while. I've thought about it for sure. Kind of the "biker moms" from…I forgot what season it is. They lost because they didn't go to the Fast Forward. But they were the biker chicks. She's a big Peloton coach now. They just had kind of a "do their own thing," whatever. Super duper strong. And they only lost because of a little mistake. But I relate to their energy.
Robbin: Definitely not…
Chelsea: Mirna and Schmirna?
Robbin: [Laughs.] Definitely not Mirna and Schmirna. And definitely not the 14-year dating virgins. [Laughs.]
Chelsea: No, absolutely not. It was 12-year dating virgins.
