The order of departure from the Gruta de la Virgen are as follows:

Brent and Caite left the Pit Start 3 hours and 5 minutes after their scheduled departure time (1:20 am) because both had to be treated for dehydration at the emergency room in a local hospital.

Teams must sign up for one of two charter buses to San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. The first charter bus would depart at 8:30 am and would carry the first three teams, while the second charter bus would depart at 8:50 pm and would carry the remaining six teams. Upon arrival, teams must drive themselves to the El Boliche Viejo. Once there, teams must win a game of five-card stud against the Travelocity roaming gnome to receive the gnome, which would have their next clue written under its base. Teams must then carry the gnome for the remainder of the leg.

Teams must make their way on foot to Peña Gaucha, where they would find their next clue.

"Who's ready to get roped in?"

The team member assigned to this Roadblock must choose a roping station and use a lasso to rope a steer-horned haybale target 18 feet away and pull the target back towards them to retrieve their next clue attached to the haybale.

Teams must drive themselves to Puente Ñirihuau and search the cliffs overlooking the river to find their next clue.

Choice A: Horse Sense
Teams must find a gunslinger, who would give them a set of directions. Then, using only a stationary compass as a navigational aid, teams must find a bag of loot buried in a field. Once they have found the correct bag, they must deliver the bag to the lead bandit at a nearby train station. If the markings on their bag matched the coordinates given to them, the bandit would give teams a coin with their next clue written on it.

Jordan & Jeff and Monique & Shawne chose this task.

Choice B: Horse Power
Teams must go to a polo field and, using a wooden practice horse, score a goal within 9 strokes to receive a trophy with their next clue written on it.

Brent & Caite, Carol & Brandy, Dan & Jordan, Jet & Cord, Joe & Heidi, Louie & Michael, and Steve & Allie chose this task.

Teams must drive themselves to Estancia Fortin Chacabuco to check in.
For coming in first place, Jet & Cord won a trip for two to Patagonia, provided by Travelocity.
