Salt That Sand! is the ninth episode of The Amazing Race 28.

Story

Route Markers

The order of departure from Deira Old Souq Station are as follows:

Brodie & Kurt (12:28 am)
Burnie & Ashley (12:30 am)
Tyler & Korey (1:18 am)
Zach & Rachel (1:31 am)
Dana & Matt (1:48 am)
Sheri & Cole (4:11 am)

Teams must fly to Denpasar, Indonesia. Upon arrival, teams must travel by taxi to Tanah Lot temple to find their next clue.

Teams must take a number to determine their departure time in the morning, where they must find their next clue on a traditional Balinese offering. Two teams each will depart at 6:15 am, 6:30 am, and 6:45 am.

Teams must take two Balinese offerings. Both will be delivered to the monks at the Pura Enjung Galuh temple. Once there, they will exchange them for two snakes and deliver them to the monks at Tanah Lot to receive their next clue.

Teams must travel by taxi to Kusamba Beach to find their next clue.

At Kusamba Beach, Sheri & Cole would receive their clue for their Speed Bump. Sheri & Cole must go to Goa Lawah Temple and flag down a man on a marked motorbike who sells meals. They must prepare and sell ten breakfasts and eat one themselves, before being allowed to continue.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to collect sea water and pour it on a plot of volcanic sand for the water to evaporate. They must then make their way to the brine trough where the salt is brought to crystallize. Once there, they have to scrape the trough clean. After scraping the salt, they must then fill up four bags to receive their next clue.

Teams must travel by taxi to Pantai Mertasari to find their next clue.

The team member who sat out of the previous Roadblock would have to perform this one. The team member would have to assemble a 30 ft kite with a team of kite enthusiasts. Once the kite is airborne, they will receive their next clue.

Teams must travel by taxi to Semawang Beach and take a marked outrigger to a pinisi boat to check in. For coming in first place, Tyler & Korey each won $5000.
