Save the Stress for Later is the fifth episode of The Amazing Race 36.
Story[]
To begin this leg of the race in Santiago, Chile, teams search for Marilyn Monroe's iconic Thunderbird car to receive their next clue.
Route Markers[]
Teams were transported to Santiago, Chile, and began the next leg at Plaza de Armas.
The order of departure from Plaza de Armas are as follows:
- Ricky & Cesar (9:00 am)
- Amber & Vinny (9:00 am)
- Angie & Danny (9:15 am)
- Rod & Leticia (9:15 am)
- Juan & Shane (9:15 am)
- Derek & Shelisa (9:30 am)
- Yvonne & Melissa (9:30 am)

- Kishori & Karishma (9:30 am)
Teams must choose a marked car parked along Monjitas Street and drive themselves to where they would "find Marilyn Monroe's Thunderbird", leaving them to figure out that this referred to Monroe's 1956 Ford Thunderbird located at Argomedo Performance Garage. Once there, the current owner, Carlos Argomedo, would give teams their next clue.
Teams must drive themselves to Skatepark Parque Araucano, where they would find their next clue.
"Who's feeling board?"
The team member assigned to this Roadblock must assemble a skateboard so that it matched the one being used by one of the skateboarders in the park. Once they have properly assembled their skateboard, they would receive their next clue.

Choice A: Perform for Pesos
Teams must make their way to Quinta Normal Park, where they must perform as chinchineros, with one team member performing a bass drum and cymbal routine, while their partner played maracas and collected tips from from passersby. Once they have earned CLP$2,500, they may exchange the money for their next clue.
Angie & Danny, Ricky & Cesar, and Rod & Leticia chose this task.
Choice B: Climb for Clues
Teams must make their way to Escalada Los Silos Park, where they must each climb a six-storey rock climbing wall on the side of a silo located at a former cement factory within the park and retrieve a Race-colored ribbon, which they may then exchange their next clue.
Teams must drive themselves to Estación Mapocho to check in.
For coming in first place, Ricky & Cesar won Expedia cashback rewards for a trip for two to Singapore.

- The skateboards assembled during the Roadblock have "AR35 — treinta y cinco" written underneath as this season was originally filmed as the 35th season onto an originally planned 60-minute episodes before being switched with The Amazing Race 35 – the 36th filmed season – occurred in Summer 2023, due to the expansion to 90-minute episodes as a response to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. [1]
- The episode contained tasks from the sixth leg on HaMerotz LaMillion 8:
- Estación Mapocho was previously the site of Double Battle (known as Head-to-Head in the US version).
- Argomedo Performance Garage was the teams had to drive a classic car to the next destination.
- The Perform for Pesos Detour was the Route Info task. Unlike this season, the teams performed both rather than a team member, and no money had been attributed to collect.
