The Amazing Race 2 is the second installment of the reality competition series The Amazing Race, the second Chinese version of The Amazing Race franchise, after China Rush. It aired on Shenzhen TV from July 10, 2015 to September 25, 2015.

Development

This season introduced teams joining in part-way into the race called Invading Teams. The Invading Team will given the opportunity to race but would need to finish the leg with a pre-determined high placement in their debut leg. Success would result in the Invading Team being able to continue racing with the last placing original team being subject to possible elimination, while failing to achieve the placement quota however, will instantly eliminate the Invading Team, and all original teams would continue to the next leg regardless.

This season also introduced the Intersection with Integration Versus, combining the Intersection and Versus into the entirety of the leg itself. Before the beginning the leg, teams anonymously voted on which team they would like to pair up with. Afterward, teams would compete against each other in a best of five best-of-three challenges. The winning pair of teams would finish first together while the losing pair of teams would compete in a final Versus with the losing Team being eliminated from the race.

Notes: 1: Zeng Zhiwei & Zeng Baoyi quit the Roadblock challenge and received a 1-hour penalty before they could continue racing. Zeng Zhiwei originally chose to attempt the task before quitting and this is reflected in the Roadblock count. 2: Deng Ziqi & Zhang Yunjing quit the Detour challenge and received a 1-hour penalty at the Pit Stop. 3: Xiao Yang & Wang Taili quit the Roadblock challenge and received a 1-hour penalty before they could continue racing. Xiao Yang originally chose to attempt the task before quitting and this is reflected in the Roadblock count. 4: Han Geng & Wu Xin and Xiao Yang & Wang Taili each received a 15-minute penalty before starting the Detour because they both received money from locals earlier in the leg, violating the rules of leg 3. 5: Yang Qianhua & Ding Zigao used their Express Pass to skip the Water Detour on Leg 4. 6: Zeng Zhiwei & Zeng Baoyi were forced to quit the Face-Off because of an injury Zeng Zhiwei received during the Face-Off. They received a 15-minute penalty which started after the losing Face-Off team's 15-minute penalty. 7: Yang Qianhua & Ding Zigao gave their second Express Pass to Zeng Zhiwei & Zeng Baoyi at the start of Leg 4. They later used it to bypass the underground city task on the same leg. 8: Zeng Zhiwei & Zeng Baoyi initially arrived in 2nd. However, they received a 1-hour penalty for not completing the first task of Leg 4 which involved finding a local's house and spending the night there. 9: The time penalty for losing Face-Off in the fifth leg was reduced to 5 minutes as opposed to the regular 15 minutes. 10: Yang Qianhua & Ding Zigao quit the Detour challenge and received a 1-hour penalty before they could continue racing. 11: Yuan Zihui & Yuan Heyu joined the race as an invading team. They were required to finish 2nd or higher in their debut leg in order to keep racing. They placed 1st and survived. 12: Leg 8 was a special leg involving Intersected teams battling each other in a series of five Face-Offs. For winning three of the five Face-Offs, Han Geng & Wu Xin and Yang Qianhua & Ding Zigao were both awarded 1st place. For losing, Xiao Yang & Wang Taili and Yuan Zihui & Yuan Heyu would have to battle each other in a final Face-off with the losers being eliminated. Yuan Zihui & Yuan Heyu lost the final Face-Off, eliminating them. 13: Jin Zhongguo & Li Guangzhu joined the race as an invading team. They were required to finish 1st in their debut leg in order to keep racing. They placed 2nd and were eliminated. 14: Han Geng & Wu Xin lost their chicken they had keep with them during a leg, presumably incurring a penalty at the Pit Stop. As they arrived last, they would've been eliminated without the penalty being applied, but as Jin Zhongguo & Li Guangzhu failed their invasion, they were saved from elimination.
