The Amazing Race 30 is the thirtieth installment of the reality television show, The Amazing Race.
Production[]
As with The Amazing Race 25 and The Amazing Race 27, CBS announced on September 27, 2017 that the season would begin filming on October 1 at Washington Square Park in New York City, and invited fans to come take part in the start of the race. The first two teams were immediately announced: Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf from the recently concluded Big Brother 19,[2] and IndyCar racers Alexander Rossi and Conor Daly.[3] The first destination of the season was revealed at the live start line, and confirmed by executive producer and co-creater Elise Doganieri on Twitter.[4] But unlike those seasons, the rest of teams didn't reveal into the public. Teams spotted in Iceland on the following day, with locations leaked in Antwerp, Belgium on October 4 having a direct footage at Grote Markt, then at Place des Lices in Saint Tropez, France on October 8th, later in Harare, Zimbabwe on October 16th.[5][6][7][8][9] Filming concluded later that month in San Francisco, California after travelling 29,000 miles (47,000 kilometers) in four continents and 10 countries, including a first-time visit in Bahrain.
This show was moved to Wednesdays for the first time since The Amazing Race 9 at 8 pm and it has been ever since on this airtime.
This season featured the Double Battle in which called "Head-to-Head", where it is utilized in the Israeli, second Chinese, Philippine, and Canadian editions.
