The Amazing Race 7 is the seventh season of the reality television show, The Amazing Race. It premiered on March 1, 2005 with a two-hour premiere and ended on May 10, 2005 on CBS. The entire season was released on DVD on December 20, 2005.[1]
Development
The seventh season of The Amazing Race was filmed between November and December 2004 for which they traveled 40,000 miles (64,000 km), spanning 10 different countries in 5 continents.
Travelocity, Toyota, and JVC were the official sponsors of the seasons and would provide the prizes awarded to first place teams on certain legs.
In September 2004, The Amazing Race was awarded the Emmy Award for Best Reality program for the second consecutive year."[2]

- First time visits to Peru, Chile, Botswana, Turkey, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico.
- First season to implement the penalty for the last team to arrive at the non-elimination leg were forced to surrender all of their possessions (except for their passports and the clothes they were wearing, for the remainder of the race).
