The Amazing Race Australia 2 is the second installment of the reality television show, The Amazing Race Australia. It premiered on May 30, 2012 on Australian television. It features eleven teams of two who are in a pre-existing personal relationship, and follows the various challenges that they undertake as they race around the world to win AU$250,000.

Franchise
- First introduction of the Salvage Pass which allows the recipient team a choice between a one-hour head start or saving the last team from elimination in that leg.
- First time that a Yield and Intersection were on the same leg of the race.
- First time to visit Cuba.
Australia
- First season to visit Philippines, India, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, France, Canada, and Mainland China.
- First season to visit the continent of North America.
- First introduction of the anonymous U-Turn where one team can remain anonymously (without putting up their own team sticker) and may force another team to complete the other option of the Detour that was not originally picked.
- First introduction of the Yield which allows any one team to force another team to stop racing for a predetermined amount of time.
- First appearance of the Must-Vote U-Turn in which required all teams team to vote for who should receive the U-Turn. The team with the most votes is forced to complete both of the Detour tasks upon arriving at the Detour.
