The Amazing Race Philippines is a reality competition show based on the American version of The Amazing Race. It is produced by ActiveTV, who also produced The Amazing Race Asia and The Amazing Race Australia, for TV5. On April 10, 2012, TV5 confirmed that Filipino-British actor and model Derek Ramsay will host the show.

On March 26, 2011, it was revealed that TV5 had required the rights to produce a Philippine version of the race. The first season started on October 29, 2012 and ended on December 15, 2012. A second season has been confirmed to air in 2014, which will be billed as The Amazing Race Philippines: Biyaheng Asya (The Amazing Race Philippines: Asian Trip).[1] However, the show dropped the Biyaheng Asya subtitle when the race was only going to be within the country again for unknown reasons.

Auditions for the first season were held from March 5, 2012 - April 27, 2012 (which was extended from April 2, 2012). During season two, the auditions were held from June 13, 2014 - June 28, 2014 (extended from July 18, 2014).

Applicants must have been at least 21 years of age and were citizens or permanent residents of the Philippines for at least two years. Applicants were also required to understand and speak both Filipino and English. Applicants must have also possessed passports and both local and international driver's licenses.
