This page is considered an official policy on The Amazing Race Wiki.

It is considered a standard that everyone is required to follow. Except for minor edits, please make use of the discussion page to propose changes to this policy.

A spoiler is something that gives away information about future episodes of The Amazing Race that have not yet been aired. In general, The Amazing Race Wiki is not a spoiler site, although there are a few places where spoilers for unaired material may be found.

Current policy

  • Spoilers are permitted on a limited basis as long as the information is available to the public in general.
  • DO NOT publish information concerning team ranking, placement, or finish line order of The Amazing Race (US) until the appropriate episode has aired in its entirety in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States.

Spoiler definition

The Amazing Race Wiki considers a spoiler to be information about upcoming episodes, including team placement, photographs, and synopses, released by any source.

Any and all information about the American version of The Amazing Race is considered a spoiler until (any of the following):

  • It has been revealed by producers and/or CBS.
  • It has been revealed in an episode that has aired in its entirety on CBS in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States.
    • In the event that a foreign broadcaster airs the American version of The Amazing Race before its US time slot due to time zone differences, the American airing takes precedence and all appropriate pages may be temporarily protected to prevent spoilers.

Any and all information about non-American versions of The Amazing Race is considered a spoiler until (any of the following):

  • It has been revealed by producers and/or the appropriate network.
  • It has been revealed in an episode that has aired in its entirety on the appropriate network in any relevant time zone.
    • In the specific case of The Amazing Race Canada, the easternmost CTV affiliate is in the Atlantic Time Zone (UTC−4 in winter), so the Atlantic Time broadcast can be used as a baseline for this rule.
