Teams must fly to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Monsopiad Cultural Village, where they would receive a traditional Malaysian good luck blessing before receiving their next clue

Teams must make their way to Kota Kinabalu Boat Jetty, where they must choose a marked boat that would take them to a fishing trawler located off the shore of Gaya Island, where they would find their next clue.

The Fast Forward instructions were given to teams at Monsopiad Cultural Village. Since no team chose to perform the Fast Forward, its instructions are neither elaborated nor aired.

Choice A: Net
Teams must take their boat to a marked fishing platform, where they must use nets to catch fish out of a marked pen. Once they have caught 15 fish, they may exchange them for their next clue.

David & Jeff, Kelly & Jon, and Millie & Chuck chose this task.

Choice B: Trap
Teams must take their boat to a nearby lobster trawler, where they must pull up an extremely heavy weighted lobster trap to retrieve their next clue from within.

Jon & Al and Reichen & Chip chose this task.

Teams must take their boat to Manukan Island, where they would find their next clue.

"Whose skills are the most on target?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must use three traditional Malaysian weapons to hit three targets. They must hit a wooden target with a bow and arrow, a hanging piece of fruit with a blowpipe, and then another wooden target with a spear. Once they have hit all three targets, they may proceed to the nearby Pit Stop to check in.
