"Who loves shoes?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to, along with a representative, shine five pairs of shoes on the street for a payment of S/1 per pair. After earning S/5, they would return to the shop to receive their next clue. The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

After completing the Roadblock, teams were given tickets on one of two flights to Santiago, Chile. The first five teams to complete the Roadblock were given tickets for the first flight, while the last five teams were given tickets for the second flight. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to San Cristóbal Hill and take a funicular to the Virgin Mary Statue to find their next clue.

Choice A: Shop
Teams must go to Mercado Central de Santiago and find the Donde Augusto restaurant, where the chef would give them a shopping list. Teams would have to use their own money to buy the five ingredients on the shopping list (fish, colinabo, tomatoes, onions, and garlic) in proper quantities. When they have gotten the proper amount of each item, they must return to the restaurant, where the chef would hand them their next clue.

Lynn & Alex, Megan & Heidi, Meredith & Gretchen, Susan & Patrick, and Uchenna & Joyce chose this task.

Choice B: Schlep
Teams must go to Libreria Chilena, where they would receive a hand truck and use it to deliver 180 books to the Library of Congress of Chile. When all 180 books have been delivered and placed on a shelf, teams would receive their next clue.

Brian & Greg, Debbie & Bianca, Ray & Deana, Rob & Amber, and Ron & Kelly chose this task.

Teams must make their way to Cerro Santa Lucía and find the Neptune fountain to check in. For coming in first, Rob & Amber won a trip to Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas, staying at the Royal Towers, courtesy of Travelocity.
