  • I'm surprised Amy & Maya won, but if your second to last it doesn't matter because of the flights. (Unless your hours behind)

    • Equalizers on the final leg have been a thing for a long time. This is nothing new.

    • I know, but It is kind of unfair that equalizers happen

    • Let's be honest here it's obvious Amy and Maya do not deserve to win. They finished last, were NOT given a Speed Bump, were NOT affected by any time difference because all teams flew in to the USA, and received the Non-Elimination just because Amazing Race felt like it should change the rules in its 25th season...It's quite sad to see such an ending

    • It's not a non-elimination leg, they are still racing. I see nothing wrong over there :/

      1. They crossed the finish line first fair and square.

      2. Equalizers were already a thing since the beginning of the franchise. How is it unfair? I mean, you can't expect all destinations to be operating 24 hours/day. Some of these are legit business establishments.

    • The big complaint I'm hearing was that because these were technically two legs with a 0-hour Pit Stop, there should have been a Speed Bump administered because Amy & Maya finished in last place on a leg in which no elimination took place. However, the midpoint elimination twist messed with this and the decision was made not to place a Speed Bump on a half-leg elimination.

It was a superleg, look at Season 22's legs three and four, Chuck and Wynona didn't recieve a Speed Bump since it was a double leg. Look at Season 23's legs 4 and 5, Nicky and Kim didn't recieve a Speed Bump because it was a superleg. There are many more, but those are the two in recent history.

Plus, equalizers happen so that one team isn't dominating the entire race (plus that would be extremely boring).

    • 1. It's a non-elimination leg, a special one at that to throw the teams off-guard.

      2. Even with equalizers, gamebots still dominate regardless.

Jim & Misti winning would've been a much sadder ending tbh, which would've happened if Amy and Maya were eliminated. And for the record, they did deserve to win as any team who arrive first at the final leg.

At this juncture your opinion is utterly irrelevant.

Twists happen.  No rules were broken.  Amy & Maya won fair and square.

    • The game rolled with a four person finale. It's just the way the game goes, and Amy and Maya were saved by it. Literally any leg can be a non-elimination episode, it just happened to be leg 11 this time. It probably had something to do with the Save having to be factored in, in case it was used.
