Tom & Terry

Thomas "Tom" Rock and Terrance "Terry" Cosentino are a team of Boyfriends on The Amazing Race 10.

Tom & Terry formed close bonds with competitors David & Mary, Erwin & Godwin, Kellie & Jamie, and Lyn & Karlyn, leading to the formation of the Back Pack alliance when the teams were all grouped together on the later bus during the second leg. The alliance often worked together, helping Tom & Terry reach the fourth leg, where they built up an early lead, only to lose it when Tom was unable to help Terry row a boat during the Detour, causing them to fall to last and be eliminated in 8th place.

Tom & Terry are a feisty and fun gay couple who have been dating for the past two years. They clicked at a singles dance party and have been together ever since, but they maintain separate apartments in New York City as they savor their alone time and enjoy the option of going "home" whenever they want.

Tom, a college admissions director, received his doctorate from Teacher's College at Columbia University. An avid runner, Tom can be described as athletic and energetic. He has completed five New York City Marathons.

Terry is an obsessive clean freak who even carries his fussiness over to his food preparations. A special events director, Terry describes himself as crazy, hyper and funny. He once performed as a clown on roller blades in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Although there is constant nitpicking between the couple, their tension is always diffused by laughter. Both are looking forward to the thrill of the Race, the possibility of strengthening their relationship and winning one million dollars.^[1]

Notes: 1: Tom & Terry initially arrived 2nd, but were issued a 30-minute penalty for traveling on motorcycles, which had been specifically prohibited for safety reasons. As Tom & Terry were waiting out their penalty, six teams checked in during this time, dropping them to 8th.

Post-Race[]

In 2016, Terry proposed to Tom in an Amazing-Race themed proposal in which Tom had to complete a variety of Race-themed tasks around New York City, including a final instruction presented by video from Phil Keoghan himself to travel to the roof of their apartment complex, where Terry was waiting.^[2]
