We Got a Gnome! We Got a Gnome! is the tenth episode of The Amazing Race 7.

Synopsis

One team re-examines the status of their relationship.

One duo's bickering fuels a much deeper discussion about commitment and the state of their relationship. Two teams are confident they are ahead of two lagging Teams, but face a harsh reality when they learn they are the ones pulling up the rear. One team's hard-fought lead is jeopardized when they have a hard time completing a task. Will this delay cost them the Race?^[2]

Story

Route Markers

The order of departure from Jaswant Thada are as follows:

Uchenna & Joyce (11:24 pm)
Ron & Kelly (11:26 pm)
Rob & Amber (11:26 pm)
Meredith & Gretchen (11:33 pm)

Teams must fly to Istanbul, Turkey. Upon arrival, teams must take a train and ferry to Kız Kulesi.

Teams must find a gnome around the island. Teams must carry the gnome for the remainder of the leg. Once teams have found a gnome, they can make their way to Galata Kulesi to find their next clue.

Choice A: Columns
Teams must travel to Binbirdirek Cistern. Once there, they must enter to find four columns on a grid and use a map with coordinates, they received numbers found on the columns. Once they find all four, teams used the numbers to unlock a padlocked box which contained their next clue.

Only Ron & Kelly chose this task.

Choice B: Kilos
Teams must travel to the Yeni Mosque, located at the old Jewish quarter of Eminönü. Teams must find a man with a box of scales then had to select one. Teams then have to weigh enough people on the street until they reached a total of 2,500 kilograms. Once reached, teams must return their scale and show their weights to a man who would give them their next clue.

Meredith & Gretchen, Rob & Amber, and Uchenna & Joyce chose this task.

Teams must make their way to Rumeli Hisarı to find their next clue.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would climb a 25 feet ladder up the side of Halil Paşa Kulesi. Once at the top, team members then climbed to the top of a tower, retrieve a key then rappelled down the side of Sarlica Paşa Kulesi. Once at the bottom, that team member then used the key to open the book which contained their next clue to the Pit Stop.

The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

Teams must search around the Rumeli Hisarı and find Phil to check in.

For having the gnomes with the airplane sticker, Ron & Kelly won a $20,000 shopping spree on Travelocity.com and a four-star hotel room stay for the Pit Stop.

For coming in last place, Ron & Kelly would have to surrender all of their money and possessions, except for the clothes they're wearing and their passports, and they would not receive any money at the start of the next leg.
