The order of departure from Shamian Island Promenade are as follows:

Teams must make their way to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and fly to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, on one of two provided flights. The first flight could carry the first six teams and is scheduled to depart three hours ahead of the second, which would carry the last three teams. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Kiansom Waterfall, where they would find their next clue.
"Who will fall for this one?"
The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must take the Travelocity roaming gnome, travel through the treetops on a safety line, and then rappel down Kiansom Waterfall, a height of 10 stories, collecting their next clue on the way. Teams must carry the gnome with them for the remainder of the leg.

Teams must take a taxi to Kampung Tompinahaton, where they would find their next clue.
Choice A: River Delivery
Teams must use the provided materials to build a raft to travel downriver. They must pick up several goods from a depot and then carry them down the river on their raft to Kampung Tombung, delivering the goods to the village chief. They must then return to their rafts and continue downriver, receiving their next clue from a local river guide.
Dave & Connor, Jet & Cord, Leo & Jamal, and Margie & Luke chose this task.
Choice B: Run Through the Jungle
Teams must use the provided materials to build a raft to travel downriver to Kampung Linsuk, where they would join a Murut hunting guide who would lead them through the jungle to several fake bird targets. Using a blowgun, they must each successfully knock over one bird target. Once both members have successfully knocked over a bird target, they must then return to their rafts and continue downriver, receiving their next clue from a local river guide.
Teams must make their way to Tanjung Aru Water Village to check in. For coming in first, Dave & Connor won a trip for two to Budapest, Hungary, provided by Travelocity.
