Teams must take a taxi to Severnoye Tushino Park and find the submarine Komsomolets of Novosibirsk. There, teams must search for the sonar room to find the actor who played an officer in The Hunt for Red October, who would give teams their next clue.

Teams must take a taxi to Fallen Monument Park and search the grounds for their next clue.

"Who's good at solving mysteries, "literally?""

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must count the number of statues of Vladimir Lenin (6) and Joseph Stalin (2) in the park. They must then proceed to Bukinist Book Store on Arbat Street. The numbers of Lenin and Stalin statues were to be the tens and ones digits, respectively, of a number (62) that they must tell the bookstore manager. If incorrect, they would receive a 10-minute penalty before another guess could be made. If correct, they would receive a copy of The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, and flip to page 62 to find a clue about their next destination, Bulgakov's old flat on Sadovaya Street, where their teammate and next clue would be waiting.

Teams must take a taxi to Sokolniki Park and find a woman with a Shetland Pony, who would give teams their next clue.

At Sokolniki Park, Andrew & Dan would receive their clue for their Speed Bump. Andrew & Dan must learn and then perform a traditional Russian dance to the satisfaction of the choreographer before they are allowed to continue.

Choice A: Ride the Rails
Teams must travel by Moscow Metro from Sokolniki station to Ulitsa 1905 Goda station, where they must purchase a samosa from a marked snack stand. The wrapper would direct teams to take the metro to Kitay-gorod station and give the samosa to a babushka near the statue of the men who created the Cyrillic alphabets, Saints Cyril and Methodius, in Slavyanskaya Square, who would give teams their next clue.

Only Nick & Starr chose this task.

Choice B: Ride the Lines
Teams must travel by trolleybus from Sokolniki station to Krasnoselskaya station to find a key maker, who would give them a key. The keytag would direct teams to take a trolleybus to Rizhskaya station, where they must purchase a locker and use their key to open it and retrieve a photo to their next clue.

Andrew & Dan, Ken & Tina, and Toni & Dallas chose this task.

Due to Toni & Dallas falling so far behind the other teams, host Phil Keoghan came out to Rizhskaya station while they were still performing the Ride the Lines Detour and eliminated them.

Teams must travel to VDNKh station and search the grounds for their next clue.

Teams must make their way on foot to VDNKh Park to check in. For coming in first, Nick & Starr won a trip for two to Anguilla, provided by Travelocity.
