The order of departure from Independence Square are as follows:

- Tyler & Nathan (7:51 am)
- Jeff & Luke (8:58 am)
Teams must fly to Singapore. Upon arrival, they had to travel to the Goh Chor Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, where they had to break open durians until they found one with red-coloured flesh inside in order to receive their next clue.
For either Detour option, teams instructed to travel to the Marina Bay Sands.
Choice A: Dare
Teams must find a take an elevator to the 55th floor of Tower 1. There, both team members had to traverse a tightrope to Tower 2 and then go back in order to receive their next clue.
Sam & Renae and Tyler & Nathan chose this task.
Choice B: Stair
Teams must climb the stairs to the 55th floor of Tower 1, collect a Singaporean plush toy souvenir, take the stairs back down, and then climb the stairs of Tower 2 to the 56th floor, where they could exchange their toy for their next clue.
Only Jeff & Luke chose this task.Teams must travel to Hong San See Taoist Temple, where they had to receive a five-minute palm reading from a fortune teller before receiving their next clue.
Teams must travel to Jurong Chinese Gardens, where they had to search the statue of Confucius that would lead them for their next clue.
Teams must travel to Singapore Flyer, where they had to ride and choose one of the 28 capsules of the Ferris wheel and read the envelope inside. Only three capsules contained a clue, while the others contained envelopes that simply told teams to try again. If teams chose an incorrect capsule, they had to wait out a 21-minute rotation before they could make another attempt.
Teams must fly to Perth, Western Australia, Australia. Upon arrival, they had to drive themselves to Kings Park War Memorial for their next clue.
Teams must drive themselves to Fremantle Prison and were given twelve keys that they had to use to search the cells of the prison until they found the cell with their next clue. Teams had to lock each door they opened before they could continue searching.
Teams must drive themselves to Cape Peron for their next clue.
"Who won't flag under pressure?"
The team member assigned this Roadblock must search a basket of sixteen flags with only twelve flags visited during the race had to be chosen in chronological order: Australia (
) – Indonesia (
) – Vietnam (
) – China (
) – South Africa (
) – Netherlands (
) – Czech Republic (
) – Poland (
) – Israel (
) – Sri Lanka (
) – Singapore (
) – Australia (
), and place the flags in the order in which they visited each country, with four flags (Greenland, Morocco (
), Philippines (
) and Vanuatu (
)) as decoys. Once all of the flags were in the correct order, teams could receive their final clue.

- This episode marks the first time The Amazing Race Australia visits the country of Singapore.
- This episode contained much same tasks from seasons past.
- The Stair Detour was the Roadblock in the finale of The Amazing Race Asia 4.
- The Route Into task involving palm-reading was similar to the Fast Forward in Leg 7 of The Amazing Race 2.
- The task at the Ferris wheel wore much resemblance to the task that occurred in the penultimate leg of The Amazing Race Asia 1.
- In the first leg in Australia of The Amazing Race 9, a similar find and locate task also took place at the Fremantle Prison.
- The final Roadblock (involving placing the flags of the countries visited in order) was the exact same, as in both finales of The Amazing Race 9 and The Amazing Race Asia 2.
