Route Markers

The order of departure from Independence Square are as follows:

Teams must take marked taxis to Fort railway station, then take a train to Galle, Southern Province. Once there, teams must make their way to Galle Fort to find their next clue.

The Fast Forward instructions were given to teams at Galle Fort.

Teams must travel to Galle Bus Station, where the must locate a nearby street barber and have their heads shaved to win the Fast Forward. The team that won the Fast Forward would then be given a Hilton duck, which they must carry to the Pit Stop. Richard & Richard won the Fast Forward.

Teams must make their way to Galle Lighthouse to find their next clue.

"Who can unlock the past?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must retrieve a treasure chest along the shore and unlock it with the correct four-digit combination using the year Sri Lanka became a sovereign state and changed its name from Ceylon (1972) to receive their next clue. The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

Teams must make their way to Dialog Service Centre and search among hundreds of mobile phones for one containing the correct message to receive their next clue.

Teams must make their way to Ambalangoda Train Station in Ambalangoda, where they must take a photo of a mask from a stall vendor and match the mask in the photo for the one worn by a performer in a nearby street festival to receive their next clue. Teams would then be given a Hilton duck, which they must carry for the remainder of the leg.

Choice A: Coconut Course
Teams must scale a laddered 25-meter coconut tree and each complete a treetop rope course. Once done, teams would each receive a coconut, which they must exchange with the local chieftain to receive their next clue.

Alan & Wendy, Claire & Michelle, Lani & Jess, and Sahil & Manas chose this task.

Choice B: Language Course
Teams must proceed to a local school and learn 10 Sinhalese words from a student, then correctly recite all 10 words to a teacher to receive their next clue.

Dimple & Sunaina, Hilda & Ivan, Hussein & Natasha, and Khairie & Ethan chose this task.

Teams must make their way to Kalutara Kalido Beach in Kalutara, Western Province, and check in.

For coming in first, Richard & Richard won $2,000 each from Hilton Hotels.
